The CAT Volleyball Tournament is more than a competition. It’s a commitment to something greater.

The Claim Your Crown Foundation is dedicated to advancing the NOVUS purpose of inspiring people to live with passion, conviction and perseverance. We support communities, organizations and charitable causes that reflect the spirit of resilience, purpose, and leadership, empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

This year, we’re helping fund two initiatives close to our hearts:

Blood Cancer United

Funding groundbreaking research, supporting patients and families, and advancing access to quality care.

The 1:12 Project

Empowering underprivileged youth in the Dominican Republic through sport and faith. From baseball camps to clean water access and job support, the impact reaches far beyond the field.

THE HISTORY OF THE CAT

Sixteen summers ago, high school brothers Nick and Garrett Bernardo, along with their best friend Alex Martin, started a small volleyball tournament in Bethlehem, NY.

What began as a backyard event with just eight teams quickly grew into something more, bringing together players and the local community around a shared love of competition.

Today, the CAT has evolved into a 16-team annual event, drawing athletes and supporters from across the region. Since 2012, NOVUS has proudly outfitted the tournament, providing custom tees and tank tops while using the platform to give back.

Over the years, the CAT has supported organizations like the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Double H Ranch, and the American Cancer Society.

What started as a friendly game has become a powerful tradition that continues to make an impact.
